What a difference a year makes!
I feel compelled to share this, especially for those of you that are teetering on the edge of a career changing event or decision.
One year ago, on June 30, 2017 the company I worked for shut down. I lost my job of 11 years as Art Director/Senior Graphic Designer/Prepress Supervisor.
What to do? Well, quite honestly, for the first couple of weeks I mourned the loss of the job I had worked my entire life for. I literally laid around in my pajamas drowning myself in Snickers and M&M’s. Then it dawned on me…this was my chance, my get out of jail free card. The decision had been made for me. A decision, up until this point in my career, I had been afraid to make myself.
You see, I had always wanted to own my own freelance graphic design company. All of a sudden, here it was, the opportunity I had been waiting for, longing for, wanting for so very long. It’s do or die time! It’s now or never! It’s go time people!
…and have never looked back. I did it! I started my own company, by Chance graphics LLC. This decision has been one of the best I have ever made. I have worked longer, worked harder, and learned more in this last year than I have my entire life, and I couldn’t be happier.
I am doing what I love, what I have a true passion for. It is a truly mind-blowing revelation. I get up every day looking forward to serving you! I look forward to ensuring your business is recognized and continues to grow and succeed doing what I am meant to do. I amplify your message through responsive design.
